The Gerald Laing Art Foundation is committed to the dissemination of useful and practical information necessary for the creation and understanding of drawing, painting and sculpture. It is intended that what can be taught will be taught during courses run by the Foundation at Kinkell.

These courses are open to all. In addition to practical elements, guidance will also be given in the appreciation of sculpture and painting, the history of ideas in the visual arts, and the continuity which exists in them and which demonstrates the ongoing concerns of the human condition. There will also be instruction in the applied arts of Aubusson tapestry waving and letter carving in stone.
