Educated and trained in Herefordshire, Duke Christie began his career travelling the world ,establishing himself as a furniture maker, designer and restorer. During this period he worked on a number of historic renovation projects such as the reinstatement of the lost woodwork within the Royal Apartments, Edinburgh and the Walraversijde Museum Project in West Flanders. Using traditional craftsmanship acquired during twenty five years of designing and making furniture, Duke’s breath taking sculptures employ innovative techniques and ideas, inspired by the Northern Scottish landscape and coast.
