Jane MacNeill’s latest work is inspired by the borders ballad of Tam Lin and Janet. In the ballad Janet shows the strength of character to rescue Tam Lin from his half-mortal ensnarement by the fairy queen. It is a rich, multi-layered story well suited to MacNeill's stylish and sensitive paint handling. In her own words...
