Ingebjorg Smith CV
1978 - 83 Glasgow School of Art. BA Honours
(first class) and M.A. in Design and Illustration.
1983 - 87 Graphic designer
and illustrator for BBC Scotland. Worked on a wide range of programmes including
Dotaman and De a Nis for Gaelic children’s television. Also lectured part-time
at the Glasgow School of Art and undertook free lance illustration work.
1987
- 89 Travelled extensively painting in Europe, Africa, India, Thailand,
Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
1989 - 95 Lectured part-time at the
Glasgow School of Art and worked as a freelance illustrator, again for Gaelic
children’s television and other clients, including Scotland on Sunday, Canongate
Press, Hodder and Stoghton, Scotmedia, Tayburn Design Agencies, Also did poster
design for 7.84 Theatre Company, TAG Theatre Company, Wildcat Theatre Company,
and Hullaballo children’s Theatre.
Began painting while attending art school
and first exhibited work in 1989. As well as exhibition at many galleries (one
woman and mixed shows) have worked on a number of different projects since
1995.
