Br Daniel Morphy (b. 1957) studied art at Kingston University and Camberwell College of Art before entering Pluscarden Abbey as a Bennedictine monk in 1998. Here, in addition to his many daily duties, Br Morphy has found time to study icon paintings and to continue his more contemporary artistic explorations. The results are paintings (and cartoons) that blend the spiritual with the human. They are like books that open windows to places rarely seen. Br Daniel Morphy is both a new voice, and an old one.
