BORROWED LAND is an exhibition which celebrates the importance of land, sea and sky, and the artists who have made it their muse. Scottish landscape has a power known throughout the world, but it is more than this - it is a home and an ecology.



This exhibition includes work by twenty-five artists: from the awe-inspired painters, the northern romantics, to others who see it as a metaphor or celebrate its silence, and ceramic artists who reform its clay-body with fire.

An exhibition of new work by Liz Knox, the ultimate master of colour and composition. These incredible paintings are a symphony of balance that takes us between worlds - from the tangible universe of seen things, to a mysterious vibrating underworld. They are works from an artist who has lived and looked deeply.
