BETH ROBERTSON FIDDES (b 197 *) is inspired by the powerful landscape of her native Scottish Highlands, especially old haunts - Skye, Inverpolly and the North West - where she continually returns in search of new ways of seeing the land. Her work is unusual for the playful textures and the balance between realism and extraction.
"There is magnificence to Beth Robertson Fiddes's work. She uses everything she has - texture, scale, colour, composition - to recall the grandeur and myth of the Scottish landscape. The result is remarkable."
Tony Davidson, Kilmorack Gallery
