Against the backdrop of the whirlpool, the ‘CAILLEACH (DECOMMISSIONER)’ (2024) is washing her plaid in the Sound of Jura, creating a monstrous wave, strong enough to topple an oil rig. Also known as one-eyed, or ‘The Veiled One.’ She basks between the whirlpool and the depths of the Sound.
