    This was a wonderful exhibition with work created by Allan MacDonald after an exhibition to Canada's Algonquin region. He was following in the footsteps of Tom Thompson whose ghost can be seen in Allan MacDonald's mirage triptych. This was based on photos of Tom Thompson commonly seen throughout the area.     This is a self-portrait by Shetland-based Gale Harvey, painted at art collage in 1976. She is best know for her large elemental paintings, but I loved the determination and the vulnerability in this portrait. January 2022 (Larger version of this image opens in a popup).
