Few artists capture the wild North as well as Janette Kerr. This is a major exhibition of new work by this important artist of the sea.

'Hyperborea' is the mythical place that ancient Greeks imagined when they looked north. It is the place beyond civilisation - of cold, ice and extreme seas - that has been Janette Kerr's obsession for many years. The twenty-four new works in this show have been painted either from her studio on Shetland or from trips to Iceland, with inspiration from residencies in the Arctic.
