Overview
It is a joy to bring these eight fresh works by Paul Barnes to Kilmorack. Barnes works painstakingly on plastered canvases and boards, with an eye to the smallest painted plaster-grain. There is an ancient quality to these gripping pieces. Is it an expression of an inner world, or ancestral animal memory – or another way of expressing an outer world? Words say far less, than these small wonderous objects.
