ALLISON WEIGHTMAN | After the Drought, Shotgun and Pillow Works
Having spent many years on the remote Scouraig peninsula, before a brief time in Ullapool and now living not far from Edinburgh, Allison Weightman is one of the most consistently innovative ceramic artists you'll find anywhere.
You can feel the joy Weightman finds in sumptuous glazes that nod towards landscape, and in the energy given to a piece from shooting it, and from creating playful forms too - things that can be stacked or filled or moved. Weightman is able to give clay life and that's what fascinates her.
These lastest work from Allison Weightman include shotgun bowls, new pillow bowls and 'After the Drought' vases.
