STEVE DILWORTH (b. 1949) is a sculptor who uses incredible craftsmanship to create objects that explore our deepest connections with the land and to myth. His sculptures: in stone, wood, bronze or bone, have a feeling beyond their beauty. DILWORTH's act of creation gives new energy to the material he works with. This act of creation, or transformation an object, is a form of magic, a "resurrectionist act1" of the materials.

Most of DILWORTH's source material is found around his croft on the Isle of Harris.

DILWORTH was born in Yorkshire and Studied sculpture at Maidstone College of Art. Public sculpture includes "Venus Stone and Claw" at Goodwood Park, "Cast" in Aberdeen and "Hanging Figure" in the Richard Harris Art Collection, Chicago.
