The art world can be pompous and over intellectual, and the cure for this stuffiness is a good slug of Danish-born illona Morrice. She does exactly what she wants to do, and Morrice does this with wit and an eye for the wondrous. Her sculpture - in this case two portraits, a staffy (with ancestors,) a clever crow and a horse knot - show a grace and ease brought by a lifetime of experimentation and practice. The results are inimitable and uplifting.
