Publications

We have found that an increasingly important role for a gallery, especially in a digital age, is to publish books and catalogues. Something tangible must remain after an exhibition finishes, and words allow exploration of the ideas behind work and the lives of artists.

Part of our publishing role included the creation of Woodwose Books, with the aim of bringing more literary works into the world. The first of these is CONFESSION OF A HIGHLAND ART DEALER which is already on three shortlists (The Highland Book Prize, The Slightly Foxed First Biography Prize and the National Book Awards First Book.) The second book was Leaving the Loch.

We also occasionally publish a Magalogue with the aim of looking deeper into artists’ lives.
